Samii Lalesa is grown by smallholder farmers around the Alemayehu Tilahun Washing Station in Lalesa, in Ethiopia's Gedeo zone. Coffee here grows in a densely layered, semi-forest agroecosystem beneath shade trees, including the distinctive false banana, a traditional farming style that protects soil health and supports slow, even ripening of the cherries. Round Hill Roastery offers it as both an espresso and a filter roast, whole bean or ground for espresso, stovetop, French press, aeropress, or pourover.
