Grown at 1,230m on the volcanic slopes of DR Congo's Kivu region - also home to the last mountain gorillas - where armed conflict long made coffee farming difficult; the area is calmer now and families are returning to it. Washed processing. Walnut bitterness balanced by blueberry sweetness, light grapefruit and molasses, closing on dark chocolate.
