Bombe is processed in the village of Bombe, in the Bensa district of Ethiopia's Sidama zone - one of the country's most diverse coffee-growing areas, known for its varied microclimates and broad range of flavour profiles. It is grown by smallholder farmers cultivating indigenous, genetically diverse Heirloom varieties at elevations between 1900 and 2400 masl. Round Hill Roastery roasts it for filter brewing, offered whole bean or ground for French press, aeropress, or pourover.
