A washed Ethiopian Yirgacheffe heirloom lot (1200-1800m) rested for several weeks in barrels previously used for the Slovak spirit Bentianna before roasting, picking up sweet aromatic notes from the wood and spirit residue. The resulting cup shows grape, wine, milk chocolate and pink grapefruit notes; each batch can vary slightly since every barrel ages the coffee a little differently. Suited to both espresso and filter; the source page states no explicit roast intensity.
